Southern Geoscience Consultants (SGC) is one of the largest minerals geophysical consultancies in the world. Our core business is in providing consulting geophysical services to the mineral exploration industry worldwide. We work with all types of surface, airborne and down hole geophysical data. SGC welcome expressions of interest for the following position:

• SENIOR GEOPHYSICIST

We require an experienced Geophysicist to work at a senior technical level. This position does not have any direct reports and will become part of a team of professional Geophysicists. To apply you will need to demonstrate that you meet the following requirements

• At least 8 years relevant technical experience in mineral exploration geophysics specifically:
modelling and interpretation of EM, IP and potential field data proficiency in aeromagnetic interpretation
• Significant knowledge of and experience in Geology
• Well developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Science degree with a major in Geophysics and a significant component of Geology.
• Field acquisition or exploration company experience would be an advantage.

Key responsibilities will include geophysical modelling and interpretation, report writing, project management including client liaison, design and supervision of surveys and some geophysical data processing.

The position is based in Belmont (Perth), Western Australia but you may be required to travel and work in field locations within Australia and internationally as required.
