PCIP
Mineralisation underground produces geophysical responses to electromagnetic excitation. Induced polarization techniques use these responses to detect mineralized bodies. Once this data is retrieved, the mineral bodies can be modelled for depth, resistivity and induced polarization. Orebody Induced Polarization can be forward modelled using SGC software, PCIP. This Induced Polarization modelling software has been developed by Geophysicists who use this same software daily.
Features:
Interactive fast forward modelling of Induced Polarization or Resistivity data for the Windows 32 bit environment.
- Model field Induced Polarization / Resistivity data
- Test the potential outcome of planned surveys with various arrays
- Test an inversion result using real geological constraints and topographic relief
- Assess the effect of rugged terrain on your data
- Dipole-dipole, pole-dipole, dipole-pole, pole-pole and gradient arrays
- Intuitive mouse driven interface
- Full screen display with easy editing of earth
section mesh and bodies - Topography drawn graphically or imported from file
- Rapid calculation of Induced Polarization,
resistivity and metal factor [typically 30 seconds or
less] - Bodies may be turned on/off to test different
scenarios - Results displayed as colour fill contoured
pseudosections [fully customisable] - Field data can be imported in Scintrex, Geosoft and
Zonge formats or in an SGC generic format and be
displayed simultaneously to allow matching of model
data. - Gradient array data displayed as profiles with
selectable linear or logarithmic scales - Zoom and pan options provided for detailed work or
long sections - A4 colour plots with full title block,
pseudosections and earth model section easily plotted on
any Windows printer/ plotter. - Real world field coordinates can be assigned to the
model data to allow easier comparison with field data - Full context-sensitive on-line help
- User controlled, detailed mesh option for more
specific modelling situations such as extreme
topography.
